JUDGING CRITERIA.
Criteria For Compilation And Inclusion On The 'A3' ,'B' & 'C' Judging Lists For The Emerald Isle Newfoundland Club.
A1 LIST For persons who have previously been approved by the KC to award CC's in the breed and have completed their first appointment. To have the support of The Club.
A2 LIST For persons who fulfil the requirements for the A3 list and who have been assessed in accordance with the KC requirements and accepted by the KC for inclusion on an A2 list and have the support of The Club.
A3 LIST (Breed Specialists) Minimum of SEVEN years judging experience in the breed and have the support of The Club To have judged the breed at EIGHTEEN Open Shows or Championship Shows without CC's with an adequate geographical spread. To have judged a minimum of SIXTY classes To have judged a minimum of ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY dogs. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer, and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club Regulations and Judging Procedures. To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Conformation and Movement. To have attended a Conformation and Movement "Hands-On Assessment" conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment. To have attended at least ONE judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances) To have stewarded at TWELVE shows.
A3 LIST (Non-Breed Specialist) Minimum of SEVEN years judging experience in any one breed (to include FIVE years in this breed) and have the support of The Club.
To have judged the breed at EIGHTEEN Open Shows or Championship Shows without CC's with an adequate geographical spread. To have judged a minimum of SIXTY classes in this breed To have judged ONE HUNDRED FIFTY dogs in this breed. To have awarded CC's in at least one other breed. To have attended at least ONE breed judging seminar run in accordance with the relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable. To have stewarded at TWELVE shows To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book. (Save in exceptional circumstances)
B LIST (Breed Specialists) To have FIVE years experience owning and exhibiting in this breed and have the support of The Club. To have judged TWENTY classes of this breed at Open or Championship shows without CC's. To have judged THIRTY dogs of this breed. To have attended ONE breed judging Seminar
B LIST (Non-breed Specialists) To have a minimum of FIVE years judging experience in any one breed and have the support of The Club Must also meet the same criteria as B list breed specialists (except owning and exhibiting).
C LIST (Breed Specialists) For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of The Club. Must have owned the breed for a minimum of THREE years.
C LIST (Non breed Specialists) For aspirant judges who have shown an interest in the breed and have the support of The Club.
