I would firstly like to thank the committee and the members of the Club for the invitation to judge,
Special thanks must go to the exhibitors who got their dogs ready and entered.
The weekend was a very special weekend the hospitality that I received was second to none The atmosphere at the show was very enjoyable, it was a great chance to catch up with people and friends and make some new friends along the way.
I would like to congratulate the club in its direction to include the wider Newfoundland pet community and to make people and their dogs feel welcome.
The Newfoundland world is not the most unified at the moment and it would be nice to think that some bridges could be mended along the way and people could get on a little better as it is the breed that suffers in the long term.

1st Whitty’s Seafar Charmer De Cascade At Starbears, impressive sized White and Black, well proportioned skull to muzzle good eye, good reach of neck well placed shoulder level topline and good angulated rear quarters I would like a little more turn of stifle good bone and a well sprung rib cage, carries himself very well with good reach and drive.

1st Ford’s Fagergards An Irish Coffee Please For Waterbound. I have admired this dog from outside the ring over the last few years I was delighted to have the chance to go over him.
What an impressive dog he is he has a super head with very well proportioned skull to muzzle good eye in both colour and shape a soft gentle expression, good reach of neck on well laid shoulders a broad strong back connects his well angulated front and rear quarters via a short strong loin a good spring of rib gives him super balance, his bone is impressive, he has good tight correct feet his movement is powerful balanced with good reach and drive his head and tail carriage are good he has a super coat and well presented, a fine example of the breed. I was delighted to award him my BEST DOG & BEST IN SHOW
2nd Hutchinson’s Seafar Torrent Impetueux Substantial attractive White and Black with good breed type and substance, good head, good neck and well placed shoulders a good firm level back and well angulated rear quarters gives this dog a platform from which his good clean action is derived from he carries himself very well with good head and tail carriage nice reach and drive presented in a super condition. Well-deserved Reserve Best dog.

1st Salina’s Multi Int Ch D’Fairweathers For Shadows Eternity. What can you say about a dog with his reputation, Top quality veteran super head with the soft yet masculine expression that the breed is renowned for good reach of neck, there is a little more angle to his front and rear quarters than most but he can still use it when going around the ring he has maintained a good level back and is a real ambassador to the breed.
My pleasure to get my hands on him, and award him BEST VETERAN IN SHOW

Attractive compact girl with very pleasing head good scissor bite ample bone adorns her structure a nice level back and well sprung rib cage, she took a little bit more time to settle when on the move but got better the more she moved she carries herself well.

1st Whitty’s Mileoak Arabella Figg At Starbears, A good size bitch with a pleasing head good reach of neck good back she has a very nice length of leg that is balanced with her length of body, her angulation is good and balanced in both front and rear.
She excels on the move WOW can this girl cover the ground the reach and drive is a pleasure to watch, she looks like she could keep it up all day long, very well presented and a good job handling to keep up with her effortless ground covering action.
2nd Lyon’s Benkerin Sweet Dreams, a real sweet heart smaller and more compact the first thing that you see with her is the sweetest head and expression you could ever want to see she has a good eye that has that little sparkle in it, clean correct scissor bite nice small well shaped ears strong compact body with good spring of rib nice tight loin ample bone throughout she serently fits the fit for function the breed standard calls for a sound clean moving action that would be as good in the water as it would be in a cart.
Presented in very nice condition, trimmed as debatably should be.

1st Lyons Benkerin Sweet Cheeks Obvious litter sister to 2nd from Post Grad just the same qualities as her sister a very attractive head good eye and super mouth with scissor bit she has a nice reach of neck well laid shoulders broad backed well sprung body nice shape to her croup allowing her a nice tail set which she carries correctly when on the move she has ample bone throughout. She reaches and drives well and presents a very pleasing outline, presented in lovely condition with good muscle tone.

She ticks all the boxes for me good head with a nice broad skull that is of good proportions to her short square muzzle good clean eye both in colour and shape correct scissor bite, good neck that sits well on her well laid well angulated front assembly her bone is very nice her body is well sprung and with a level broad back her rear quarters are well angulated and balanced with her front angles she is nice and compact in the loin well muscled thighs with good turn of stifle, she moves well with reach and drive a presented in good coat a pleasure to award her my BEST BITCH and my RESERVE BEST IN SHOW
2nd Ford’s Ohois Euroras Northern Light, a good substantial bitch pleasing head with the soft expression good eye and dentition, good reach of neck a powerful bodied girl that has good bone her angles are good and she displays her good structure when on the move effortless ground covering action with good reach and drive her head and tail carriage are very pleasing, presented in good condition.

1st O’Driscoll’s Ournewfbear Precious, very sweet brown girl handled well by the winner of the Junior handling 6-11 years Joanne O’Driscoll a smaller bitch with a sweet correct expression and a true Newfoundland Temperament pleasing head with clean eye compact body type with pleasing angles that she uses well around the ring presented in good condition.
Junior Handling 6 – 11 years
1st Joanne O’Driscoll , for one so young she did a great job handling her dog I could see that there is a real connection between the dog and Joanne used her bait to best advantage.
2nd Paul Whitty, just piped for the class by Joanne he handled really well and for a young man to handle a Multi Int Champion the way he did was a real credit to himself.
